How to play Pinball

Try Pinball at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Reach 1,500 points before three balls drain. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.

Original compact two-flipper table with three bumpers.

Review a difficult moment

When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Reach 1,500 points before three balls drain. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. The example below illustrates a decision.

Step by step

  1. Start to launch.
  2. Use the two flippers.
  3. Bumper collisions score.
  4. Launch remaining balls after a drain.

Controls

Hold Left/Right flipper or arrow keys. Start / pause and New round are available. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Read the example below alongside these instructions.

A useful example

Activate the flipper when the ball reaches its active surface. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Look for the relevant detail.

Watch out for this

A drained ball cannot be rescued. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
