How to play Maze Adventure

Try Maze Adventure at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.

A careful first round

Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Try to explain the aim in your own words.

Step by step

  1. Start from the upper-left cell.
  2. Move through openings using arrow keys or direction buttons.
  3. You may also tap a neighbouring cell connected by an open passage.
  4. Reach the gold exit or generate a new maze.

Controls

Arrow keys, on-screen direction buttons, or a click/tap on an adjacent reachable cell. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Return to the rules if the result is unexpected.

A useful example

If a wall blocks the cell to your right, try another opening; the token cannot move through walls. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Read the matching step again.

Watch out for this

Only immediately adjacent cells can be reached in one move. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round.
